Tom Doak's minimalist Florida masterpiece, routed through reclaimed phosphate-mining dunes — proof that great golf can grow anywhere.
About the Course
Streamsong Resort sits on 16,000 acres of central Florida land previously mined by Mosaic for phosphate. The reclaimed sandy ridges and water-filled depressions provided architects with terrain unlike anything else in Florida. Three world-class courses now occupy the property: Blue (Doak), Red (Coore & Crenshaw), and Black (Hanse).
History
Mosaic Company partnered with the resort's developers in 2012 to build the original two courses on retired mining land. Tom Doak's Blue Course opened in December 2012.
Signature Features
Massive sandy waste areas, dramatic elevation change very rare for Florida, and contoured greens that reward creative shot-making.
Notable Events & Championships
Numerous Best New Course awards at opening; consistently ranked among the top resort courses in the United States.
